International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer

September 16th is the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer! The Ozone Layer is a fragile shield of gas, which protects the Earth from the harmful portion of the rays of the sun, therefore helping preserve life on our planet.

In recent years we have reduced the use of ozone depleting substances, helping to protect the ozone layer for future generations. However, there are still lots of ways you can help! By minimising the use of cars or buying local produce, you can help reduce pollution. Another way you can help to protect the ozone layer is by using eco-friendly cleaning products! Many cleaning products contain solvents and corrosive substances, which are harmful to us and the environment. It is easy to replace these dangerous substances with non-toxic products – just head to the our blog to view our ‘Easy Swap’ posts if you’d like to learn more.
